The Simon Mapp Awards is an annual scheme open to students on all undergraduate programmes from the Department of Theology and Religion at Birmingham University.
Up to five recipients per academic year may receive £200 in book tokens to help fund the purchase of their chosen specialist books in preparation for their third-year dissertation, in any topic within the disciplines of theology and religion.
When you have graduated, you are encouraged to pass on any unwanted books to younger undergraduates. Simon was a generous sharer of knowledge and this kind gesture of ‘paying it forward’ is in spirit with who he was.
For students to make an application, you need to complete the Simon Mapp Awards application form provided by Birmingham University. Visit this Birmingham University website page to access the application form.
